Salehe Bembury and Crocs have announced a two-year extension to their partnership. Bembury, who serves as Creative Director for the Crocs x Pollex Pod collection, plans to expand upon the success of the Pollex Clog silhouette by introducing new designs and colors.
The Pollex Clog, introduced in 2021, quickly gained popularity for its unique design and molded foam construction. New colorways released in 2022 reportedly sold out within hours of their release.
Michelle Poole, President of the Crocs brand, spoke highly of the partnership with Bembury and the fresh perspective he brings to their design process. Bembury and Crocs began their collaboration after the footwear brand reached out to Bembury via Instagram direct message.
Bembury emphasized the importance of long-term relationships in collaborations and praised the Pollex Pod collection for successfully merging Crocs' brand identity with his own. New designs for the Pollex Pod collection, including the Pollex slides teased earlier this year, will continue to feature Bembury's signature 3D fingerprint patterns.
